Nolan Communications, LLC, is a strategic communications, marketing and public relations firm led by Principal Amy D. Nolan, APR. Amy is a passionate, knowledgeable, accredited public relations professional with 15 years of experience in communications, marketing and public relations. Her career includes experience in corporate communications, statewide association management, and educational public relations, branding and marketing. She has been the master mind behind award winning campaigns and publications and has managed numerous large-scale projects such as corporate Web redesigns, competitive high school yearbooks, and local, regional and national events.
Amy’s main area of expertise is in strategic planning, and she is passionate about making sure her clients have a solid plan to direct their communications, marketing and public relations efforts. Clients say her biggest strength is her organizational ability, and she uses this talent to keep businesses on track and focused on their communications goals.
Amy is a graduate of the Manship School of Mass Communication at Louisiana State University. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communication with a concentration in advertising and public relations. In 2006 she earned the Accredited Public Relations (APR) professional designation from the Universal Accreditation Board. Amy is a member of the Public Relations Association of Louisiana-Baton Rouge Chapter (PRAL), and is serving as president in 2010. In 2008 she was named PRAL's Member of the Year. She is also a member of the Southern Public Relations Federation board of directors, and has served twice on the SPRF Conference Committee and in 2008 was Chairman of the SPRF Lantern Awards Program. In 2007 Amy received the prestigious Senior Practitioner designation from SPRF. She also is a member of the Manship School of Mass Communication 2010 Hall of Fame Committee.
Amy believes that work should be fun, and you should enjoy what you do, and do what you love. She also believes that families come first and that today's parents should be able to achieve a work-life balance that honors the importance of both career and family. These beliefs are what motivated her to open Nolan Communications so that she can serve clients who share these same values. Amy is married to husband Marty, and they live in Baton Rouge, La., and are the parents of two beautiful gifts from God.
